Defacing Websites

I know of only one way to deface a website, and that is, finding a site with port 21 open. I would appreciate it very much, if someone could explain to me the other ways, if any, of defacing a website.

If you want to be a "hacker", the first thing you must learn, is how to find/learn things on your own.

REad lots of the links from this search, find stuff you are interested in, and then learn more about that. If you expect that posting questions here on the board about how to deface this website, or hack hotmail, or exploit AIM will get you results, you are not hacker material. All you want to do, is cause damage. Go buy yourself a bat and hang out the window of your friends car playing mailbox baseball... it will be much better for all of us.

If you want to be a hacker, you will not succeed by asking others how to hack, you must be a self starter, who is willing to confront difficult tasks, and figure out many things yourself. Once you have a broad range of general knowledge, and can come accross as not a complete idiot in a technical conversation, then start asking some serious questions?

this kind of stuff is all over the net, if you really want to know just look for it.

tip: just about every hack including what to do when you get busted can be found on the net. so do yourself a favor and avoid the falmes by looking for these tut's first.

We tell these guys that we hate crackers and lamers. Yet, we give them the information they need just so they'll leave. Maybe a few flames (Negative, where are you?) but we do give them what they want. So I guess that's why they insist on asking. But then again, answers are the only thing that will shut them up.

Hacking websites well the legal way is to design it yourself and set it up on the net. ANd try to see if you can hack it.

So any way if 21 is done or port 80. maybe even 23 lol.

Well, I don't see what's wrong with giving these kids guns, because no one would feel too bad when they do blow their heads off, as opposed to real kids with real guns. Why not let natural selection weed out the poeple who can handle the knowledge, although it goes against what I believe being a hacker is, why not give them a little something to go on. The best thing to do if you really want to take the logical path of least resistance and/or be helpful to everyone, tell these people where they need to go if they really want to learn.

Jesus Christ Warezpup. Where did you find out about port 21?...Mustve done something eh?...maybe read? Sound good don't it? Unless some punk friend told you about it. I hope to God he showed you the steps at least. It helps to actually read about this stuff before you go off doing it. And besides, what good is it to become BlackHat, besides infamy, what will you have? Your "Cyber-Social Life" will be pathetic.

I honestly suggest you goto some site with texts, ...something like BlackCode or Google. And pick up the book Hacking Exposed while your at it, it makes for good reads and helps you along your *disasterous path*.

First off, I do think the question could have been asked differently.

Secondly, Learning requires a teacher (book, web, self) whatever. If you want to know how website defacement works (and how lame and easy it is) then at least learn something else in the process. Like what cgi-bin and phf holes are and how to help other from making the mistake of using them.

If you want to LEARN something but also get your lame info.
visit happyhacker.org now only is it educational but if you have half a brian you will also see that CRACKERS and script kiddies have almost no know how or brains to do the things they do.
