    error message

    I am using win 2k. When I try the disk fragmenter I get this msg:
    Scan fat: Scan aborted- Fatal error-file:\\?\Volume{6ea88a990-bbe-11d8-8a3a-806d6172696f}\documents and settings\bigyoungin\cookies\bigyoungin@targetnet[2].txt WHAT DO I DO? I already restarted the comp

    First, run chkdsk from the command line and post if anything goes haywire during that..

    Try defragging it in safe mode, I found that solved th problem of the last poster.. however XP doesn;t have that prob.. Also, I would just download Norton Utilities and run speed disk, which is basically the same thing cept prettier and its free for a year.
