JP: Im sure you have an extra system just sitting around. . . .Why not set up a computer that your Senior Members could "play around on." Ya know. . . just have some fun. It may keep some of them away from systems they shouldn't be in. . . ;) j/k

Thats why members like you shouldn't be allowed to participate in the wargame. Only members that JP trusts. . . .

setting up a computer to play around on and "hack" into... like simulating a hacker war. hence 'wargames'

Go to the Happy Hacker (http://www.happyhacker.org) and follow the links to "Wargames." This will explain some of the concepts behind it. Hope this helps.

Sounds like fun but why limit it to just Senior Members? Let us all play! Not that im good or anything but I think it could teach many membrs some great skills and maybe even some ethics.

You have a point Dislex. . . but there has to be some limits on the wargame. If there wasn't. . . we would have every hacker on the net coming to AO. . . that could cause problems. . . Like what Havanger said. . . let me quote him on this. . .

Hey guys first post. I like wargames and it would be great but as for the limits they are needed. I think it should be totally seperate from AO comps. Also, I know the whole senior members only thing is too restrictive but opening it freely would crush the server. I think you should have to register with AO and post regularly to have access.
Most of us can get these requirements easily.

I think you all have great points. I did not mean that we should have no limits what so ever. I just dont think that it should be only seniors getting to play. Im not really sure how I would get the rules and/or limits but, yes, we do need some. Maybe you all could throw some more ideas in. Things such as WHO can play, HOW they can play, and HOW they can win. I think we need an objective.

Well, before we go any farther. . . we need to talk to JP first. You all have great points. . . . JP. . . would you be willing to do something like this for AO? We could help you set up the rules. If not, just say so & we shall drop this idea. . . ;)
